You Are Allowed To Do it ALL!
February 5th, 2026
The days are getting longer, we’re settling into the new year, and all we can really do is move forward with kindness, discipline, and open minds for whatever opportunities come our way.
I hope you find yourself moving through your day with your palms facing upward, ready to receive what’s meant for you.
Lately, I’ve been focusing a lot on this palms-up, palms-down concept. When my palms are up, I’m in receiving mode (open to connection, growth, and possibility). When my palms are down, I’m conserving energy, protecting my space, and keeping more to myself. It’s a simple idea, but it keeps me aware of the energy I allow in and what I choose to give out.
You don’t have to do it all. You’re allowed to be multifaceted. Sometimes you give, sometimes you keep. A lesson I’m still learning and one I’ll probably keep learning.
Speaking of being Multifaceted…
A question I get a lot is
Is there space to commit to a healthy lifestyle while still keeping some old habits I know don’t perfectly support my goals?
For example, you are fully committed to your journey but still want lazy days. You eat mostly whole foods but also want a bag of chips while watching your kid’s soccer game.
When you set a goal with me, one of the first things I do is make sure it is realistic and actually fits into your life. A lot of the time, those non negotiables are completely fine. My job is not to take them away, but to add to them or tweak what’s around them so progress can still happen.
You can be multiple things at once.
You can be someone who eats well, moves their body, and has ice cream.
Who gets extra butter on their popcorn at the movies.
Who likes to lay around on Sundays.
You don’t become a healthy person the moment you decide to be one.
Belief and identity take time.
The cycle usually looks like this
You decide.
You learn while doing.
You trust the process.
You become.
You don’t have to believe perfectly on day one. You just have to keep showing up long enough for belief to catch up with your actions.
