The Mindset You Need To Have
February 11th, 2026
Its funny the way life goes. Ebbs and flows. Ups and downs. Seasons of gentleness, intensity, sadness, happiness.
Right now I am in a new season that I have yet to experience, and it has been so empowering. Have you ever had a moment where you look at yourself, how far you’ve come, and think— I am not the person I used to be. I am new, improved and with so many new ideas, thoughts, mindsets, and interests.
I think maybe this is just a part of growing and getting older. I always used to think of what I would be like. Would I be the same and feel the same in a bigger body? Would I always feel silly working out? Would I get nervous asking the waiter for the check? Would I care if I wore the same outfit again?
Life is so beautiful in the way it evolves. The way it changes you. The way it teaches you things without you even realizing it.
The Mindset You Need to Have
To achieve your goals, you need a system in place. Systems sound complicated and intense, but once they are oiled, practiced, and repeated— they cannot be stopped.
Step 1: Educate yourself.
Learn. Ask questions. Observe. Read. Watch. Be curious. You can’t grow in something you don’t understand.
Step 2: Try it small.
Not all in. Not extreme. Just start. Do it on a smaller scale. Lower pressure. Lower stakes. Give yourself room to be bad at it. This is where most people quit, because it’s uncomfortable and results aren’t clear yet.
Step 3: Look for evidence.
This is the most important part.
At some point, you start to see proof. You feel a shift. You notice progress. Maybe it’s small. Maybe it’s subtle. But it’s there.
And once you have evidence, everything changes.
Because without proof, it’s hard to stick to something. It feels like you’re guessing. But when you start to see that what you’re doing is actually working…that it’s actually getting you closer to your goal…you begin to believe.
And belief turns into trust.
When you truly trust that something is working, you don’t need motivation. You don’t need to force yourself. You don’t have to hype yourself up.
You just do it.
Again and again.
And that’s when it becomes part of your system.
A quote that’s been sitting with me recently is:
“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”
It’s so true.
Goals are exciting. Systems are what carry you.
And once something becomes part of your system, it becomes part of who you are.
That’s when you’re no longer trying to become good at something.
You just are.
